Visiting the Space

If you're thinking of visiting us, then it's probably an idea to e-mail first. The easiest time for non-members to attend is Open Hack Night, Tuesday from 19:00, almost all weeks of the year, though see our Events Diary. Visits may be able to be arranged at other times, but please note that most of our members have day-time weekday jobs.

Where are we?

Our address is:

Leicester Hackspace Ltd

Innovation Centre, De Montfort University

49 Oxford Street

Leicester

LE1 5XY

This is a nice map.

Getting to us

We are not quite as convenient to reach by bus as previously, and we're about twenty minutes walk from both the train station and the main bus station. The above map gives some longer-distance travel details.

Parking

There is a paid car park five minutes walk from the Space, near the Sue Townshead Theatre (previously the Phoenix), and a number of small parking spaces, and street parking, which is free after 18:00. Our main car parking is only available to members with RFID cards, and after 18:00 and at weekends, located next to the Estates Service building, on The Gateway (marked #30, on above map). Please note that the car park associated with the Innovation Centre is only usable by special, advance, arrangement, and that there are double-yellow lines on Bonners Lane. There is limited bicycle parking at the IC.

Unfortunately, currently we haven't been able to arrange any special provision for disabled parking.
